We are currently hiring a Shipper / Receiver - Skilled Laborer - ​​​​​​​for our Langley, British Columbia yard to assist with fast-paced and challenging projects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
  • Remove rubble and other debris in the yard using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
  • Direct traffic at or near yard.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients effectively.
  • Shipping and receiving of materials. 
  • Perform other activities as directed.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
  • Valid zoom boom ticket is required.
  • Experience as a construction worker, laborer, or other similar role.
  • Ability to lift heavy construction materials.
  • Ability to be a self-managed team player, able to deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
  • Good communication skills and a team player mentality.
  • Must have an attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CSTS Ticket
  • WHMIS Ticket
